PITTSBURGH—A western Pennsylvania high school basketball coach is charged with raping a child and other crimes.
State police in Butler say 24-year-old Matthew Goettler, of Butler, played a game with three boys over the summer in which they had to draw "dares" from a hat and perform them.
Police say the dares included sexual activities. Police say he also sent improper text messages to the two 12-year-old boys and a 16-year-old boy.
Goettler is an assistant 9th grade boys basketball coach in the Moniteau School District and is a substitute teacher in the Butler School District.
He's also charged with statutory sexual assault, corruption of minors and related crimes
